Privacy Policy

This document explains, in plain language, what data PAYTONMAIL holds about you, why we hold it, and how long we keep it.

LAST UPDATED · JANUARY 14, 2026

What we collect

To operate your account we collect: the name you provide, the billing details used to pay for membership, and the email address through which you authenticate. To deliver mail we process the messages themselves; we do not retain copies beyond what is required to display them in your inbox.

What we do not collect

We do not collect advertising identifiers, third-party cookies, behavioural tracking data, or location data. We do not maintain a profile of the people you correspond with. We do not infer your interests from the contents of your inbox.

What we share

We share data with a small number of operational subprocessors, listed on request, who are contractually bound to the same privacy obligations as PAYTONMAIL itself. We do not sell, lease, or licence member data to anyone, for any purpose. We do not respond to bulk data requests.

How long we keep it

Account data is retained for the duration of your membership and erased within 30 days of cancellation. Delivery logs are purged after 30 days. Billing records are retained for the period required by tax law in the jurisdiction in which you reside.

Your rights

You may request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request that it be erased. We will respond within 30 days. Where you are entitled to additional rights under the GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable law, we honour them globally regardless of where you reside.

Government requests

We publish a transparency report twice a year that lists every government request for member data we have received and our response. Where the law permits, we notify the affected member before responding.

Contact

Questions about this policy, requests to exercise your rights, or complaints about how we handle your data should be sent to privacy@paytonmail.com. We respond within thirty days.
